IntelliDyne, LLC Achieves Official CMMI Level 3 Rating

IntelliDyne, LLC has officially been appraised and awarded a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 rating as defined by The Carnegie Melon Software Engineering Institute (SEI). The rating was earned in a recent Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) Class A appraisal led by an SEI authorized appraiser. This achievement solidifies IntelliDyne’s commitment to continuous process improvement and process standardization company-wide.
“At IntelliDyne, our commitment and ability to use industry standard processes to measure, improve, and deliver repeatable, high quality levels of services to our customers is unwavering. Achieving CMMI Level 3 certification is a major milestone in our overall Quality initiatives,” said Steve Alfieris, IntelliDyne CEO.
There are five rating levels in CMMI. The Level 3 category is referred to as the Defining Level, and companies that achieve Level 3 have demonstrated through multiple appraisals that they manage and execute project and business operations through the use of the organization’s defined and controlled standard process assets.
By applying standard process practices, IntelliDyne consistently and predictably delivers services to customers in a timely, measurable manner at a price reasonable value. “Process standardization significantly decreases re-work on a project, thereby reducing risks that may impact the project’s deliverables, cost, and schedule. This is true for our customer environment and for our internal initiatives as well,” said Ken O’Neal, COO.
The company is now working toward earning its Level 4 rating as part of its strategic growth plan for 2010 and beyond.
