Michael Monroe directs day-to-day activities for the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Advanced Technology Integration Center (ATIC), an IntelliDyne managed operation since 2000. He provides executive-level leadership and champions quality programs such as configuration management, continuous process improvement, and Capability Maturity Model Integration® (CMMI). Through the ATIC, Mr. Monroe manages DoD TRICARE activities and associated information technology environments and plans, directs, and controls program performance, cost and schedule milestones, implementation, and contract maintenance.
Mr. Monroe joined IntelliDyne in 2005 with over 26 years of information technology and business development experience in industries that include healthcare, federal contracting, business process reengineering, information assurance, and operations management. Mr. Monroe spent a significant part of his career in leadership positions at the IBM Corporation where he managed large, complex technical projects with budgets exceeding $35 million.
Prior to IntelliDyne, Mr. Monroe was a member of senior management teams at Forbes Consulting & Associates, LLC; Global Management Systems, Inc. (GMSI); and SCI Consulting Services. At Forbes, he established and built business controls to ensure appropriate focus on revenue, expenses, and profit/loss. As the lead executive for the Federal Business Unit at GMSI, he provided direction and leadership to senior managers; oversaw revenue growth, profit/loss management, strategic planning, customer satisfaction, and business development; and managed a portfolio of large and small government agency contracts. While at SCI, Mr. Monroe led an initiative to provide assessment and expertise in business continuity and contingency planning, while managing the daily operations of SCI’s largest contract at the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Mr. Monroe’s earlier career includes almost 20 years in information systems management where he led complex large-dollar contracts at all stages of the contract lifecycle and monitored and improved the financial performance of operations at local, state, and federal levels.
Mr. Monroe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
