SOLUTIONS VIDEO CONFERENCING


Organizations now have a variety of options to cost effectively implement videoconferencing technology. The traditional option is to use Integrated Switched Digital Network (ISDN) connections over a public network to link videoconferencing endpoints. The new option is to use an Internet Protocol (IP) based network over virtual private networks or corporate wide area networks. With the increase in bandwidth and improved quality of service an IP network is able to provide the same quality as ISDN at a lower cost.

No matter what the technology, you are faced with a number of choices and challenges when implementing videoconferencing. IntelliDyne offers a number of videoconferencing services to help you design, install, and manage your videoconferencing infrastructure.

Videoconference Room Design and Installation Services – IntelliDyne's videoconferencing engineers can design a solution that is right for you based on your needs and budget. We offer standard, secure, and custom solutions based on either ISDN or IP technology. IntelliDyne's rigorous technology assessment process will help you sort through the myriad of videoconferencing equipment vendors to figure out which technology is best for your organization. If you have an existing infrastructure, our engineers can conduct a needs assessment to identify any upgrades or enhancements that might be needed.

Network Design and Optimization - In addition to recommending and installing video conferencing equipment IntelliDyne's certified engineers can design and optimize your network to support videoconferencing.

Conference Session Support - IntelliDyne provides comprehensive services to help schedule and monitor videoconference meetings to make meetings go smoothly. IntelliDyne's engineers assess available bandwidth to schedule meetings in order to maintain a high quality of service. For large meetings IntelliDyne can cascade a session to share bridges with other sites.

During a meeting IntelliDyne offers the following three levels of support:

  • Premier – VIP level support with three dedicated staff members to assist the meeting organizer and participants. In addition to an operator, IntelliDyne provides a room support engineer to immediately respond to any issues and a backup engineer to provide immediate equipment repair if the need arises.
  • Standard - An operator helps to establish the meeting and monitors the bridge, the network and the CODEC throughout the session.
  • On-Demand – For those last minute meeting that can't be scheduled in advance, IntelliDyne provides flexible support to establish a meeting upon request.

Equipment Support Services – Another option available to IntelliDyne customers is equipment maintenance and repair. IntelliDyne conducts preventative maintenance on videoconference equipment according to manufacturer specifications. As part of the maintenance service, IntelliDyne will upgrade older versions of both equipment and firmware. IntelliDyne also provides support for equipment movement to new locations. If a piece of videoconference or network equipment breaks IntelliDyne provides repair service through OEM arrangements or through IntelliDyne's own repair facility.

IntelliDyne's Video Equipment Certification Process – A major factor in running a successful videoconference session is the compatibility of equipment. To ensure a successful meeting session, IntelliDyne has established a certification process for sites connecting to an IntelliDyne managed facility.

IntelliDyne Web-based survey form is used to collect equipment configuration information from any site requesting to connect to an IntelliDyne managed facility. Once the survey is completed then IntelliDyne will schedule a test session with the site within 72 hours. During the certification test IntelliDyne engineers conduct an audio and video check and diagnose any errors that may occur. Once all errors have been resolved, IntelliDyne will certify the site. Prior to conducting a meeting, IntelliDyne operators will ensure that a site is certified to connect.

Through this type of proactive management IntelliDyne's successful videoconference rate is greater than 99%.
