Press Releases

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, Tony Crescenzo joined more than 40 technology executives to be auctioned off at the NVTC Foundation’s CXO Auction.

The goal of the CXO Auction was to raise money for the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Veteran’s Employment Initiative (VEI), which provides tools and resources to match Veterans with employment opportunities in Virginia's technology community. Thanks to the generous donations of auction attendees, over $54,000 was raised to support this important initiative.

At the in-person auction, attendees submitted silent bids to win one-on-one meetings with C-level leaders. Exactly what does that mean? Well, it varies. Some packages included lunch, dinner, or wine tastings. The more active-minded can look forward to a round of golf or indoor skydiving. Sports fans were bidding for meetings at Capitals and Nationals games. The winning bidder for Tony will join him for dinner at Minibar in Washington, DC.

Most importantly, winners get the opportunity to gain insight, get advice, and pitch future plans to the CXO on offer. The executives committed to host these meetings within 12 months of the CXO Auction.
