Rob Franklin is a co-founder of GoodSeeker, Inc., a start-up company that is developing an enterprise story-sharing platform for generating authentic corporate and personal brand content while improving employee engagement and recognition. Rob also currently serves as a strategic advisor and member of the Board of Directors for MorganFranklin Consulting. Since cofounding the company in 1998, Rob has served in various executive positions to include President, Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Information Officer, playing a strategic role in building the business from a start-up to a market leading services firm with over $100M in revenues. In his various capacities at MorganFranklin, Rob has developed and executed the methodologies for corporate strategic planning, budgeting/forecasting, operational management, and business development. He successfully led key M&A activities to include a tuck-in acquisition and the divestiture of a significant business division focused in the National Security market. Most recently, Rob helped direct the company through an ESOP transaction resulting in 100% ownership for employees and a second ‘exit’ for the firm’s co-founders. Prior to founding MorganFranklin, Rob spent 10 years as a senior program and systems engineer with the Department of the Navy where he developed and deployed strategic and tactical secure communications systems for a variety of specialized U.S. government agencies.
With a passion for helping other businesses reach their success potential, Rob is an active angel and early-stage investor. In addition to GoodSeeker, he is a stakeholder in several early-stage businesses and serves in an advisory capacity for a variety of start-up firms dealing with the issues associated with launch, growth and scaling. As an active member of the community, Rob is an avid supporter of the American Heart Association for the Greater Washington Region and currently serves as the Chair for the Board of Directors. Additionally, Rob serves on the Board of Directors of Pivotal Moments, a startup charity focused on the mental health of our youth. Rob has also been a leader at the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. One of Rob’s significant accomplishments at the Chamber was the launch of the organization’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship thought leadership council for which he received the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Service.
Rob holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Florida Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Widener University.
