Tell us a little about your career and some of your accomplishments since joining IntelliDyne.
I joined IntelliDyne in 2022 as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer & Architect, now serving as the Director of Data Science. I bring over a decade of experience spanning semiconductor and automotive manufacturing, followed by several years delivering high-impact analytics solutions in healthcare and government sectors.
Before IntelliDyne, I helped drive $4 million in annual savings at Nissan through predictive waste modeling. At IntelliDyne, I’ve led teams delivering scalable analytics platforms, real-time diagnostics, and predictive modeling in highly regulated and operationally complex environments.
Some of the projects I’ve worked on here include:
- Designing AI-powered diagnostic tools for the Department of Defense to address equipment issues before they become mission-impacting.
- Leading development of the PALMS GIS Business Intelligence Platform, a fully custom, license-free GIS solution for a national engineering firm. Built with Python and Flask, PALMS integrates USDA and USGS datasets to support nationwide environmental analysis, with features such as high-performance polygon search, role-based authentication, and advanced data modeling. The platform was delivered under budget for more than a year.
- Creating ISLA’s Secure and Adaptive LLM Framework, enabling secure integration of large language models into sensitive workflows without exposing proprietary data.
I have also had the chance to work on exploratory data science projects and even compete in challenges like Mission Daybreak for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Whether modernizing legacy systems, implementing real-time analytics, or exploring advanced AI capabilities, I focus on aligning technical solutions with business outcomes so clients can get the full value from their data.
What motivates and inspires you to continue growing and excelling in your role at IntelliDyne?
The Analytics team is small but has a wide range of expertise, which has led to plenty of new opportunities and challenges. Every project is different, and that variety keeps my work interesting and rewarding.
In what ways do you actively seek professional growth and development opportunities?
The rise in online education has made it much easier to learn new skills and software. I started taking MOOCs in 2018, which eventually led to earning my master’s degree in analytics from Georgia Tech, entirely online while working full-time.
Which of IntelliDyne’s benefits are your favorite and why?
The education and training reimbursement incentivizes focus on improving employee skills which is critical to stay current in tech. I have been able to use these programs to continue to learn about AI and get certifications in new service and software offerings.
What kind of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I love to cook Texas-style barbecue, primarily brisket and beef ribs. I have even competed in the barbecue state championship in Mississippi. My ribs finished fifth overall while my chicken made the other competitors look better than ever.
