Anniversary Spotlight on Darlene Minea

,

As IntelliDyne marks its 25th anniversary, we are taking a moment to reflect on the journey that has brought us here, made possible by the dedication, hard work, and innovation of our employees. In celebrating this significant milestone, we’re not just looking back at our achievements; we’re also shining a light on the individuals who have been instrumental in shaping IntelliDyne’s legacy. This year we’re not only celebrating our successes, but the success of our people, especially those who have been with us for the long haul.

In these Anniversary Spotlights, we’re asking our tenured employees a series of questions designed to delve into their personal stories and experiences. From memorable projects that filled them with pride, to the evolution of their roles, to moments of teamwork and camaraderie that exemplify our culture. We explore the values and principles that make IntelliDyne unique, and the initiatives that have had a positive impact on our company, our people, and our clients.

Join us as we embark on this journey of reflection and celebration, honoring the people who have made IntelliDyne what it is today. Here’s to 25 years of excellence, innovation, and community —with many more to come.

How long have you been with IntelliDyne, Darlene?
I started at IntelliDyne as a Deskside Support Technician almost 11 years ago.

Have you had the opportunity to work with clients who have long-standing relationships with IntelliDyne? What do you think contributes to the longevity of these partnerships?

I think a solid relationship with our clients as “trusted advisors” has helped us build the kind of contract longevity we’ve been blessed with at IntelliDyne. I saw this firsthand when I joined the company 10+ years ago. Watching the interactions between my new coworkers as they collaborated demonstrated to me that this was more than just a job to them…it was a calling, and beyond that, a true pleasure to serve these clients! Staff at our first San Antonio location would stop by the IT office all the time just to ask a question or say hello, to share family news, or see how the team was doing. My colleagues had built great relationships with our clients by getting to know them as people and understanding at a deep level what their job roles were, as well as how those roles fit into the overall mission of the office or the larger agency. It was clear that when things weren’t working right or the network was down, the client knew that the IntelliDyne team would do their absolute best to resolve the issue even if it wasn’t theirs to solve. I saw this same engagement happen each time we added more clients and expanded to more sites with increasingly complex support requests. The goal was (and is!) always the same – If we could help, we would, and if we couldn’t, we’d do our best to provide recommendations where that client or POC could try next to get the help they needed.

Another example I can think of in support of why we’ve had such longevity is our Defense Health Information Technology Symposium (DHITS) support. The first time I was able to attend DHITS as a member of IntelliDyne’s Support Team, it amazed me how many people came looking for our team lead to assist them (regardless of the issue). Mobile phones, laptops, presentations, kiosk displays in the vendor hall…even questions about conference-specific items like hotel arrangements and shuttle availability. Our support team is known by reputation as THE place to get your answers and any help symposium attendees might need. If our team couldn’t assist, our lead usually knew where to redirect the request so the person asking wasn’t left without guidance.

I cannot say enough about the level of trust that has been built up over countless interactions with our clients, which proves to them every day they are our priority; that we support and understand them; and that they can trust us to go above and beyond whenever possible to ensure their job (and the agency mission) keeps moving forward.

Are there any initiatives or programs at IntelliDyne that you’ve been a part of, which you feel have had a positive impact on the company or its employees?

I think the Military Resource Group (MRG) is a fantastic example of our company culture in action! Not only do we strive to hire military-connected candidates, but we take time to thank them and volunteer with organizations that also support them. I know many of our staff look forward to each year’s volunteer events, especially ones like the Fisher House Foundation annual clean-up, Operation Gratitude care package assembly, and Soldiers’ Angels stocking stuffing events where we have multiple members of the staff volunteer together. The MRG determines activities at each site where we can tailor what we do to the needs of the military-connected population we serve. This makes these events even more meaningful to those participating in them, especially those staff who are veterans themselves!
