Employee Spotlight on Linda Saysithideth

Tell us a little about your career at IntelliDyne.
Hi, I’m Linda Saysithideth, a Data Engineer on the Analytics Team, and I have been employed at IntelliDyne for almost a year!

What motivates and inspires you to continue growing and excelling in your role at IntelliDyne?
At IntelliDyne the people here motivate and inspire me as my teammates are very collaborative and supportive. The contracts I work on are impactful and meaningful to me, helping Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense, in addition to others where I can help contribute and make a positive impact.

How do you embody the values and culture of IntelliDyne in your day-to-day work?
Although I recently started full-time at IntelliDyne, I’ve been given the space to contribute to company culture by hosting a Women in Tech data class, which was very fun! And with my day-to-day work, I’m constantly sharing ideas with my teammates on the latest tools we can use in our everyday tasks.

What skills or qualities do you believe have been instrumental in your career progression?
I did not have a lot of technical knowledge starting out in my career, but was open to learning. I think the biggest skill that helped shape my career was being able to understand the “why” behind all the technical tasks I was doing and how it would affect the business and customers.

In what ways do you actively seek professional growth and development opportunities?
I really appreciate how at IntelliDyne there are many incentives to learn more and take additional classes, so I’ve been looking to expand my coding skills in Python and other languages. I also plan to take advantage of our LinkedIn Learning pass to learn more things like Managerial skills and Presentation skills.

What kind of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I’m an avid Scuba Diver, recently got Advanced Scuba Certified in the Cayman Islands, and try to do a trip every year. I also enjoy playing music on the guitar and piano, and I like learning new recipes to cook!

What tips or advice would you give to a new hire?
Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask questions! I find that people at IntelliDyne are welcoming, collaborate, and encourage each other to succeed.
