What is your role at IntelliDyne?
I am a Desk Side Lead Manager for two of our sites. I manage two teams onsite and coordinate with other internal teams on issues to be resolved. I work on multiple projects associated with varying government agencies and coordinate with our PM Team, engineers, and staff on tasks that require completion. I work closely with our Government POC to ensure that issues are resolved accordingly, questions are answered, and to act as their technical SME on occasion.
What about your job makes you jump out of bed each morning?
Working with my team and making sure that we provide the best customer satisfaction for our clients.
What influenced or drove you to become an expert in your field?
Our leadership at IntelliDyne. With their guidance and support, they provided the unseen motivation and encouragement to move forward and to progress in my career path.
What was your dream job growing up?
Growing up as a kid, I wanted to be a fireman or a police officer.
What are some personal challenges you have encountered in your career, and how have you overcome them?
Personal challenges that I have encountered would be family commitments and having to pause my higher education. There were multiple instances where my family required my attention and assistance which resulted in me having to drop out of college and focus on them. I overcame this challenge by telling myself that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. To be patient and that everything happens for a reason.
What advice would you give to someone looking to pursue a role as a Desk Side Lead Manager?
My advice would be to have prior experience overseeing a team. Have empathy and understand the technician’s workload, as well as the hardships that they have encountered or may in the future.
